We shall see how it goes.

Pumpkin Hunting

We went pumpkin hunting on Friday after work. We went to Carpinito Bros for our pumpkins. Lets just say that I was a little excited about being at the pumpkin patch. Plus I got to wear my Cougar rain boots. We had lots of fun hunting for our pumpkins and taking pictures. Okay maybe I had fun taking photos but Justin was a good sport and took pictures too:-). I can't wait to carve them.
Brooke also came over Friday afternoon to help decorate our door for the door contest. Fingers crossed that we win!!

Blink of an Eye

Blink of an eye and it is already October. We went to Pullman for a game in September. We had so much fun running around campus. We hit up the bookie, crimson and grey and the creamery. The best thing about this trip was the discovery of the palouse falls brewery. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio try all of their beers and just talking. It was a great trip just the two of us only following our schedule.
Last weekend I got to go to Borders and meet Mo Willems!!! It was amazing:) My mom was great and came with me for the day. We got our bracelets and went shopping for the day until it was time to meet Mo. He was so entertaining!!! I feel so lucky that I got to go.
Saturday and Sunday we spent at home relaxing. Justin's parents came for a quick visit on Saturday. It is always great to see them. Now onto the week work, meetings, pumpkin hunting and then grad school starts.

A Kid Filled Weekend

This past weekend involved lots of driving but lots of fun. We headed down to Battle Ground on Friday for Bryce's 3rd Birthday Party on Saturday. We spent Friday night with our friends. We had a nice dinner and then played a game. Which I totally won if we were playing for the lowest score:) Saturday morning we went and watched Kyle play soccer. Very entertaining to watch 6year olds play soccer. We then headed to Justin's parents' house for the party. We had lots of fun seeing family and friends. Especially watching Neil get beaten up by a bunch of little kids. Sunday morning we headed back home early so I could make it to a baby shower for a friend. It was nice to catch up with friends from my old school. It was a busy weekend but lots of fun. Up next is Pullman and then Grad school starts!!

Summer Rewind

So I guess I'm really bad about keeping up with my blog during the summer:( So lets just do a summer rewind to recap everything that happened...

We made a trip down to Bend, Or. for Justin's cousin's wedding. We had lots of fun eating lunch at a brewery. Plus us girls went shopping!!! The following weekend we were back down for Justin's nephews' baptism and dinner with Katie and Neil. What can I say we like to drive down to Battle Ground a lot. In between the weekends we were both working and trying to keep up on the apt.
During this time too by cousin's husband was in a horrible accident and spent 20 days in Harborview. It was very scary but luckily he is home now resting and on the long road to recovery. The only positive of this was I got to see my cousin more than usual and her adorable daughter Brooklyn.
Summer school ended the first Friday of August and that was the kickoff to my vacation. With our friends wedding that was so gorgeous and so much fun. I then went to Vegas with my mom and best friend to celebrate my 25Th birthday early. It was nice to lay at the pool, see an old friend and go and see the Thunder from Down Under(Got pulled up on stage) Plus I got my picture with a lion cub!!

Came back from Vegas to working at the cougar store and hoping for a job. Just when it looked like I would be subbing bam a job as a kindergarten teacher. So I have hit the ground running wondering if I really even took time off this summer with everything we did. It was a fun summer but very busy. Hoping next summer involves a little less travel.
To end our summer we headed back down to Battle Ground for Whit and Lips wedding reception and for Justin to take his last CPA exam:)

The first week of school has now come and gone and we are off to a good start. I could of not gotten by art room I mean classroom together without Justin and my Mom. I love my kids and the parents are great. The first day the kids came was also my birthday. I had so many birthday wishes from family and friends. That I feel really loved. Plus my brother surprised me with his gift and Justin got me what I asked for a penguin (OK it's a necklace shaped like a penguin but I love it!!)
From now on I'm hoping to be better with blogging that way I don't have so much to write about. Next up...Battle Ground, Pullman, apartment shopping and the start of grad school. Maybe one day we won't be so busy. HAHA probably not:)
I <3 my life!!!

Summer Lovin

I can't believe that I have been out of school for a month!! Where does the time go? It has been a busy four weeks, but fun. Between work and fun the weekends summer has been flying by.
Fourth of July was lots of fun. We went down to Vancouver for a family reunion for my family, then we spent the Fourth with Justin's friends and family to celebrate his birthday. We had a great time eating and drinking:)
Justin's actual birthday was low key dinner at home and some presents from Tim, George, G.G. and me (Tim is the turtle and George and G.G. are lawn gnomes what can I say we have an unique family). The griddle that Tim gave him was great! I got pancakes 2 days later:)

I'm now teaching summer school until August. I guess I just like to be busy. Besides working two jobs for the next few weeks. The next three weekends are packed with weddings, family and friends!!

What a Year!!

Wednesday marked the end of my first year of teaching!! What an adventure it has been this past year. So many things have happened in the classroom and outside of it. I definitely learned a lot about myself as an educator. I learned so much and cannot wait to keep teaching and improving. It was very bitter sweet on Wednesday saying good-bye to everyone. But I know bigger and better things are going to be coming my way. I have an amazing support team who supported me this whole year and continue to support me. I don't know what I would do without them. For now I'm going to enjoy my downtime for the next couple of weeks with friends, family, and the boy:) and see if I'm teaching summer school. It's going to be a fun summer and I hope it ends on a high note!!!

Busy Weekends

This weekend and the last have been very busy but really fun. Last weekend we went down for Justin's friends birthday. We had lots of fun hanging out, bbqing, playing games, and catching up.

This weekend we went down to Bend, Or. for Justin's grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. It was nice meeting more of Justin's family:) We got to spend a lot of time in the car (12hrs). On our drive we encountered SNOW!!! It is almost June and I cannot believe that it was snowing so crazy.

It has been a few busy weekends and I know I'm looking forward to having some downtime. I guess that will be after school gets out. There is so much to do over the next few weeks. But there are some fun activities planned at school and on the weekend.

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend was very busy!! It was nice to have Friday night to get lots of sleep for the weekend. Just what I needed after being sick all week and having a not so fun day at work on Friday.
Saturday morning we were up early to go to the JDRF walk in Tacoma. We met Justin's parents there and all walked together. After wards we checked out Justin's office. It was nice to see where he works and how neat his desk is:) We had an amazing lunch on the waterfront at Duke's. It was sooo nice to sit outside and enjoy lunch. After lunch we took a rest and then headed up to Pike Place Market. It was very crowded with everyone getting flowers for Mother's Day. We ended the day with bbqing at home and watching suppercross.
Today we had brunch with my parents and Justin's parents at my house. It was fun introducing everyone and hanging out. It was so warm out that we all sat outside talking. It was a very fun weekend but it was nice to spend the weekend with my parents and Justin's parents. Now on to the next three weekends being busy too!!

Mom and Me Tea

Mom and me tea was a success!! My kids did amazing, they listened to directions and sang their songs so nicely!!! It was a lot of work to get setup but luckily I had help from my fabulous mom and my dad cut all of the food. All of the moms seemed so happy so it was totally worth it!!! Plus the kids were so excited:)

Beer and Bikes

Justin's friends came into town for the weekend. It is always nice hanging out with them. We were able to go to the the Hop Scotch Festival in Seattle and to Supercross. I took everyone on their first bus experience in a long time. Always interesting when you ride the bus in Seattle. Between the guy falling out of his sleep and another busting out a 40oz. beer. Let's just say it was a memorable ride.

We had lots of fun at the Hop Scotch Festival tasting lots of different beer. Would of been nice if we had more time to enjoy all of the beer but we had to get back for Supercross. It was nice to be able to watch supercross in person and get to see everything. Only wish it hadn't been so cold and that Ryan would have been racing. I guess there is always next year to dye our hair green:)

We had such a blast Saturday hanging out with friends. It would have been nice to not come home to an apartment that had been robbed. But at least everyone is okay!!

BBQ, Bikes, Oh My!

We spent the weekend in Battle Ground for Justin's Mom's Birthday and to go look at a couple of motorcycles. Saturday morning we had the opportunity to go watch Justin's nephew play t-ball. It was very fun to watch a bunch of 6 year olds attempt to play baseball. Justin's nephew got to be the pitcher and had fun dancing around the Field.

After the game we headed to Oregon to go look at bikes. The first bike was okay so we continued to our second destination. There Justin bought the bike. The only thing about the bike it doesn't have the passenger seat already. I guess I will be waiting a few more months until Justin gets a seat for me.

After buying the bike we spent the evening having a BBQ for Justin's Mom. I got to see his one grandparents again and meet his other grandma. We had a good time hanging out with his family and playing with his nephews. Sunday Justin got a new phone and then we headed home with me following in the car. Now hopefully this bike will stay safe:)

Applications

I forgot how time consuming it is to fill out applications for school and for jobs. Hopefully I will be done with them all in the next week. I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend and next:)

On brighter news I get to escape for the weekend down to Battle Ground to hangout with Justin's family. Which is always fun!

BBQ

Barbecuing chicken tonight for the first time. Very scary also attempting to make scallop potatoes for the first time. Poor Justin is the subject of a lot of first time cooking. Luckily I haven't had a huge disaster yet:) Hopefully it turns out well if not we will be ordering pizza. At least our drinks are good tonight.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a blast. It was sad that it was the end of my spring break. But it was nice to see my grandpa and for Justin to meet him. We had fun eating yummy food and dying eggs.

Since we were up at my parents house. We checked out a motorcycle in Woodinville. Hopefully soon Justin will have a new bike. He has another bike to look at in Portland. When we went to look at bikes I found a little tiny motorcycle that would be more my size. It's probably for a 5 year old but I think I could handle it:)
Our excitement continued on Sunday by relaxing at the apt. and learning how to fix the garbage disposal.
