A Year in Pictures: Day 120

We spent some time in the yard raking moss and killing weeds. Then it was homework and cleaning out the turtle tank. Stout managed to get dirty and probably needs another bath too. Maybe tomorrow night ;-)

We spent another day working on the yard. My parents came over and my Dad put the front door in. My Mom did some cleaning for us :-) Made lots of progress on the yard but much to do still.

A Year in Pictures: Day 112

We had a very productive day. For some reason we were awake at 6:30. So we got up and took all of the cardboard to the high school that was having a recycling event. We then spent most of the day in the yard working. Stout had fun being outside all day and now is fast asleep. My parents stopped by to drop off their trailer so we can load it with all of the yard stuff. Here is a picture of some leaf bags. Just got a few hundred more to go :)

Stout and I stayed home today still recovering from his cough but definitely getting back to his normal self ;-) I got to go to the Mariners Game with my friend tonight and her parents. We had a great time.

For those who don't know this isn't my last name

It came from our realtor. I'm not sure how this happened. She use to list both of our emails under my name but now I guess my last name got changed. I thought the postcard would have both are names or just Mr. J's but I guess using my first name and Mr. J's last name counted as addressing it to both of us.

We went to puppy for class tonight and learned how to walk on a leash without pulling!!! Now Stout is passed out while I do homework.

Today I subbed and got to challenge my tech skills by using an overhead projector. I can now say that I have used one in my teaching career.

Spent the day in class and then came home for a little yard work. Mr. J cut down a tree for me and some branches off another one. Then my parents came over to once more work on Stout's pen. If he can get out of that I have no idea what we will do with him.

Stout had is last round of shots today and weighed in at 20lbs. We also did a trip to Costco and then my cousin came over with her dog. Now the two are sleeping after playing. No pic of them yet. Maybe they will hold still long enough to get one later. But look what was built under our deck.

I had a fun day having lunch with some friends and checking out the outlet mall. Except for leaving my debit card at the restaurant. Stout also had fun being at my parents. Now he is home playing with all of his toys.

 Stout and I had a busy day. We organized the master bedroom and bathroom, danced some more and worked outside. Then my Aunt stopped by for a quick visit to see the house and meet Stout. Then it was off to puppy class to learn and play with other puppies.

Stout and I had a nice day at home. We had a friend visit. I was also able to have lunch, get a pedicure and get some flowers at Home Depot. Stout and I also had a dance party :-)

Happy Easter! We had brunch at my parents' house and then we watched some racing. Well actually Mr. J watched racing and Stout and I took a nap. We then enjoyed some sunshine and BBQ. Now to enjoy a week off from teaching and starting the last quarter of grad school.

Stout grabbed Mr. J's glove but decided to sleep with it instead of chewing it.

Today was so nice we did some work outside. But at one point I went to make Mr.J's Easter present (click to see the present). Well I had left Stout out in the yard so I decided to peek out the window to see how he was doing and this is what I saw...

Beer Bunnies

So for Easter I made Mr. J some Beer Bunnies. I saw this on another blog Kindergarten Smiles  the teacher had received a gift of diet coke bunnies from a student. I liked it but wanted to make it for Mr. J. So I got his favorite beer and got out the hot glue gun.

I know hard to see but I used white pipe cleaners, googlie eyes and pink pom-poms

I first glued all of the eyes on

I then added the pink pom-poms

 I cute up a pipe cleaners for the whiskers and attached them.

I used one pipe cleaner to make a set of ears. I cute the pipe cleaner in half and then twisted the bottom together to make it look like ears.

I glued the ears to the back of the cap.

Now to put them in the fridge to enjoy later :-)

I was so excited when I got home both of my packages were waiting for me!! I was a little bit more excited about the book than Stout was.

Stout and I had a busy day. He wanted to be outside all day laying in the sun. We also went to our first puppy class. I was also surprised to find this in the mail today. Now I just need my package that is coming tomorrow!!

A Year in Pictures: Day 91

So last night Mr. J caught a second wind around 10 and put up a bunch of my picture frames!! So excited that the house is starting to look more complete. We also ran some errands today and signed Stout up for puppy classes. Now I'm patiently waiting for the rest of my supplies to show up so I can play with my spray paint I got at Home Depot today.

Side note: The Pigeon is celebrating his 9th birthday today!! A new book is coming out on Tuesday. Plus this Fall a big book of Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems is coming out!!! And an activity book is coming out soon too!!! I'm just a little EXCITED!!!!!!
