Rehearsal Dinner Recap

Mr. J’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for us at the Kona Brewing Co. and we were very fortunate to have our photographers there to capture the night. If you are in the Seattle area have Events by Heather & Ryan capture your special moments they are amazing! Don’t worry if you are not in Seattle they travel too :)

We had fun visiting with everyone and enjoying good food and beer. The groomsmen also wore Hawaiian shirts.
The following pictures are from Events by Heather and Ryan.

After the dinner we went back to the hotel. Mr. J got kicked out of the room for the night :) We actually did some partner swapping for the night with Katie and Neil. Katie and I chatted for a little bit and then went to bed since we had an early morning.

A Recap

So I was looking back at my posts for the year and I realized that I never recapped our week in Hawaii or our wedding. With our wedding anniversary fast approaching I thought now would be the perfect time to recap. Better late than never :) Be warned lots of pictures in all of the posts!

We flew into Hawaii with 12 of us on a flight together the Saturday before the wedding. Our two other friends flew out of Portland and landed shortly after us!

Waiting to board the plane and yes I carried my dress on.

It took us a long time to get our car but then we were on our way! We enjoyed dinner with my family at the Kona Brewery Co. and then we had drinks with our friends at the Hotel.

Waiting for the car

The view from our hotel room at the Royal Kona Resort

The bar at the hotel had the best views for watching the sun set!

We spent the weekend snorkeling and hanging out with family and friends.
Breakfast the first morning with Katie and Neil. The coffee was huge

On Monday we awoke to many messages from Mr. J’s family. Their flights had been canceled due to the tropical storm Flossy. We spent the day at the pool waiting to hear if his family would make another flight. They were put on standby for a 6pm flight and if they didn’t make that one they wouldn’t get into Hawaii until 9pm Thursday. That is what time our wedding ended on Thursday. By the some miracle all 6 of them were able to get on that 6pm flight. And our other groomsmen that was with them got a flight out 2 days later.
Mr. J was ready to ride out the storm

The waves were so crazy during the storm and it started to rain. Staying at the pool was the best option ;-)

Tuesday was another relaxing day with time at the pool and lunch in town at Bubba Gump. When you are on an island with 30 of your closes friends and family you might run into them. We saw my maid of honor with her parents at lunch. We also had an amazing view of our hotel during lunch! Later in the day we went to Mr. J’s parents place. We also met with our fantastic photographers!

Wednesday we went snorkeling in the morning with our family and friends. Then it was time to get ready for the rehearsal dinner.

We saw turtles while we snorkled

Isn't my cousin's little boy a cutie :)

Wow that was a lot and I still have more! I will be back later with a recap of the rehearsal dinner and then on to the wedding day!

I hope everyone is staying cool! It is very hot for the Pacific Northwest! So in an attempt to stay cool we went into Seattle yesterday to do some beer tasting! We met up with our friends and had fun checking out three different breweries. We also made a stop at the WSU Connection store for some cheese and a new sign that I needed :) Plus I got to see my friend at the store and I got a little cheese bag!

Today we spent the day picking stuff around the house. I also ran to Hallmark to pickup an ornament.

Stout is ready for the hot weather that is suppose to continue this week!

Have a good Monday!

Five for Friday 7.11

I hope everyone is enjoying there week! It has been super hot here :) I'm linking up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for

Monday we went boating with my parents. Love spending time out on the water!

On Tuesday we celebrated Mr. J's 29th birthday! We enjoyed dinner out and then peanut butter pie.

We had our fence replaced last week. Yesterday I picked up stain to stain the fence. Who wants to help? :)

It's Friday so it means pool time aka kiddie pool! I also saw a recipe for for vodka strawberry lemonade on pinterest well I took it and tweaked to work for me. I used minute maid low calorie lemonade, fresh strawberries that I pureed with a little water and vodka. It was very tasty and perfect for the kiddie pool!

We have been planning on what we will be doing in Boston in a couple of weeks! I'm looking forward to all that we have planned!

Have a great weekend! Time to watch some Orange is the New Black :)

July Currently

Happy July! I'm linking up with Farley today for July's Currently. I'm hoping July doesn't go by too fast!

Listening: It is day 2 of our new fence being built!

Loving: Even though the fence is not done yet I'm loving just the idea of it!! No more worrying that Stout is going to knock it over!!

Thinking: I should get off the computer and finish cleaning so I can enjoy our hot weather we are having today.

Wanting: Since it is so nice today I wish I was boating. But instead I'm heading to the dentist this afternoon.

Needing: I have been up since 7 took Stout for a walk, ate breakfast, did my workout but haven't made it to the shower yet.

4th Plans: We don't have plans yet for the 4th. I have a few ideas but we will see. This will be the first weekend we have been home since school got out. So it might be a low key weekend.

 Have a great day!

Sunday Smorgasbord: Cali Edition

Look what happens when it is summer... I blog a little bit more! I'm linking Michelle from Fabulous in First for

I have been in Cali since late Thursday night checking on my Great Uncle with my Mom. Mr. J happened to be in town on business so he spent Friday and Saturday with us. We dropped him off at the airport this morning. So here are some random pics from the weekend!

Mr. J and I did some beer tasting on Saturday

We then went to Mahattan Beach for lunch. After lunch we grabbed some ice cream and this was the display case there. I wanted to try it all.

Had to stick my toes in the water!
It's a tradition to take our picture out front of the house and now Mr. J has his picture taken out front too.
My Mom had to cook fish tonight. She was not a fan :)

We ran to grab a few things for my uncle and I found myself a new sleeping mask except I picked a different color.

Have you entered the June Mystery box yet? You should totally enter! Such a great giveaway from fabulous bloggers!

Have a wonderful week!
