What a whirlwind!! I had an interview today where I went to school at. Well less than 12 hours after the interview I was hired to teach first grade. Now I will be hitting the ground running starting tomorrow morning!! I will post pics later of my room. One week from tomorrow I will be meeting my firsties :-)

We had a great day! We went boating :-) Stout did great on the boat and then at Rogue for lunch. Today is also my Dad's b-day. Happy Birthday Dad!!

It was back to work today and Mr. J was off for his business trip for the week. It is never a dull moment at the store look at what the UPS man brought us today.

Today we went and ran some errands in Tacoma. We also had lunch at Harmon Brewery. Look at the the beer sampler is served.

So for those of you who saw on facebook and/or talked to me yes Mr. J and I got engaged yesterday!! Here are some details for all of you who asked.

I had been with my family all day and came home to flowers and a card to open. When I opened the card a decoder ring fell out (We have always joked that I was going to have a decoder ring from a cracker jack box for my engagement ring) On the card was a message I needed to decode.

Well I took a guess on what the numbers stood for and was right :-) Then Mr.J got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And it wouldn't have been complete without Stout attacking us and then running off with the ring box but after I got my ring out. There is the quick and short version of our engagement but it is totally our style :-)

Got to try paddle boarding today. It was fun but next time I'm doing it in a lake and not the sound. Then I had an amazing night at home watching football, Hunger Games, eating pizza and drinking beer :-)

Got to love the weekends!! Especially when it is so nice out! Stout got to meet Tango today. They are both black labs and only 1 1/2 apart. It also doesn't hurt that their Mommies are besties. The boys had so much fun running around the backyard getting dirty. Now Stout is sleeping while we watch the Seahawks. So glad that it is football season!! Only 19 more days until Cougar football!!!

Had a great day visiting with friends. I got to see my old bestie today and her cute kids. It has been years since we got together!! I then got to have lunch with a friend and had a great time chatting about the up coming school year. But when I got home I didn't expect to be cleaning up pen ink off my couch.

It is so hot today!! In the 90s which for WA that is hot!! We tried our best to stay cool. Using the kiddie pool, hanging in the basement and making ice cream.

I mostly wear flats when teaching. My favorite are my eccos. I have two pairs and want to add more!

My go-to item is a one of my dresses or sweater dresses from express with leggings.

5.  A fashion "uh-oh" at school

My first year teaching I lost about 15 pounds. Now nothing truly bad happened but for a week or two I was swimming in my clothes and I always had to make sure I wasn't flashing my bra or undies at my firsties. By spring break I had to go on a shopping spree!!
